Sofie Mikhaylova, often known as Sonja, is a multi-faceted creative, writer, poet, artist, musician, curator, social media manager & marketer, and influencer.

 
 

Sofie is a multi-disciplinary artist and creative with a wide variety of releases across multiple forms of media and expression.

She published her debut poetry book, “I love you so much, I miss you so much,” in April 2022 via Bottlecap Press. She has written about music and pop culture for numerous publications, including Vice, Thump, Noisey, Paste Magazine, A.Side, Double Dot Magazine, Vinyl Me, Please, Mixmag, Exclaim!, The Washington Post, and more.

Sofie founded independent record label Biblioteka Records in 2017, and released dozens of projects with over 10 artists around the world through it, including three vinyl releases. The record label has amassed over 2 million streams, and has also been a launchpad for numerous classes and workshops for women and LGBTQI+ folks interested in learning more about music & production.

Sofie released her first experimental EP, Grounding, in 2019, under the name Sonja, following it up with several other singles and projects. Her DJ mixes have aired across the world, from Melbourne to New Delhi to Brooklyn to Manchester.

Today, Sofie continues to explore her writing through her weekly email newsletter, Sonjaland, run several social media accounts for some clients, in addition to diving into a more tactical creative practice through her devotion to painting, yoga, and psychedelics.
